Welcome to Year III of Christie Lake Climb for Kids! This year we are climbing to the Roof of Africa. Come join us on our most ambitious trek yet - Mt. Kilimanjaro. We will be climbing 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) above sea level along the 8-day Lemosho Route. This itinerary gives us an excellent chance of reaching the summit: approximately 96% of people trekking the Lemosho route stand on the roof of Africa.

I'm at it for the third time! First year: we trekked through the Andes in Peru - it was quite the challenging feat because of the high altitude. Year 2: we hiked 170km around Mont Blanc, a mountain in the Alps -that was a great challenge of a different kind long days and hours of walking! I'm joining again this year! It brings great pride and pleasure to be able to help someone else. Of course, I'm still looking to challenge myself both physically and mentally. So, what are we doing this year? The biggest challenge yet: climbing Kilimanjaro!

Raising funds for Christie Lake Kids Camp will help provide a fun and safe place for underprivileged kids to go to during the summer months. Having attended the camp for team bonding activities in the past, I saw first hand how great the place was. Every child should have the opportunity to attend a summer camp and I hope that you can support me by donating and helping our team meet our fundraising goal.
