1st Annual Altis Bocce Battle

Get ready for a rolling good time! The Altis Team is hosting the 1st Annual Bocce Battle in honour of their co-founder, the late Toni Guimaraes, and his support for Christie Lake Kids (CLK). Bocce was his favourite game (after ice hockey that is) and he loved any opportunity to get the business community together.

On Tuesday, September 19th, 2023, we’re inviting companies to battle it out on the bocce court in support of CLK.

More on Toni Guimaraes & CLK: Toni was a CLK camper himself. As newcomers from Portugal, Toni’s family faced many challenges – and he was fortunate to be invited to Christie Lake Kids Camp for many years in a row, at no cost. CLK invested in him, and he consistently gave back. Toni passed away in 2016 at 51 years old after an arduous battle with advanced prostate cancer. He’d be thrilled to see us play his game, and raise money for his cause.

Bocce Battle Details

DATE: Tuesday, September 19, 2023 (rain date is Thursday, September 21)

LOCATION: Mooney’s Bay (2960 Riverside Drive)

TEAMS: We’re inviting 32 teams of FOUR (each team is guaranteed 3 games)

COST PER TEAM: $2,000 -- all registration fees are direct donations, meaning you’ll receive a charitable receipt (all expenses including the pre-battle lunch is on Altis!)

SCHEDULE:

• 11:30am: Registration opens
• 12:00pm: Lunch begins
• 12:30pm to 4:00pm: Bocce Ball Battle Tournament (entertainment between games is provided)
• 4:00pm: We present the Bocce Cup
